Imagine you and your mates touching down at El Prat Airport (although you might be able to fly cheaper to Reus or Girona with Ryanair), to be greeted by the year-round Spanish sunshine, hopping in your taxi or private transfer to your plush central apartments, and then getting straight into things with some sangria and cervezas in one of Barcelona's legendary beach bars, as you ogle caramel-skinned beauties and get into the spirit of your stag weekend! Life doesn't get any better than this!

During the day there's tonnes of stuff to do in Barcelona, and even if a game of frisbee, topless girls and a swim in the Mediterranean doesn't appeal, you can always wonder around the districts of the medieval Old Town, stopping off in laidback squares for some liquid refreshment and soaking up the vibe at a Spanish pace. More cultured stags might even want to check out the monumental architecture of Gaudi, such as La Sagrada Familia.
If it's stag activities, adventure and adrenaline you're after you won't have to look far for inspiration and fresh ideas. Barcelona is full of specialist stag and tour operators, and you can book top activities like paintballing, go-karting, mountain biking, deep sea fishing or even Ferrari driving no sweat. Or of course take in a football match at either FC Barcelona, or RCD Espanyol (the city's second team!). Both clubs offer stadium tours if you can't get tickets for a game.
Come night time and the real fun and parties begin. There's no better way than kicking off a night in Barcelona with some traditional Spanish or Catalan cuisine, such as tapas - this is the kind of food that will put hairs on your cojones. It's all meat, bread, and more meat with barely a vitamin in sight! After you've lined your stomachs then a pub crawl around the cool bars in the Gothic Quarter will get you in the mood, or - if you prefer - simply settle down into one of Barcelona's many Irish pubs. Clubbing-wise Placa Reial or the Port Olimpic are your best bets, but read our nightlife guide for more. You may even want to sign up for a VIP nightlife tour, which will take a lot of the hassle out of guestlists, not to mention organising your moronic mates after they've overdosed on local-strength mojitos.
