Barcelona Stag Weekends
The best stag activities by day and night
By Duncan Rhodes
Looking for the perfect destination for your mate’s stag weekend? Congratulations! You’ve just struck gold. Barcelona offers absolutely everything a man could want from a wild weekend, including dusk ’til dawn nightlife, a grand sweep of beaches full of semi-naked girls, beautiful weather, fantastic food, great things to do, and the best football team on the planet – FC Barcelona – and their 99,000 seater stadium, Camp Nou.
Barcelona offers absolutely everything a man could want from a wild weekend.
Imagine you and your mates touching down at El Prat Airport (hint: you might be able to fly cheaper to Reus or Girona with Ryanair), to be greeted by the year-round Spanish sunshine, hopping in your taxi or private transfer to your plush central apartments, and then getting straight into things with some sangria and cervezas in one of the city’s legendary beach bars, as you ogle caramel-skinned beauties and get into the spirit of your weekend away! Life doesn’t get any better than this!
During the day there’s tonnes of stuff to do in Barcelona, and even if a game of beach volleyball and a swim in the Mediterranean doesn’t appeal, you can always wander around the different districts of the medieval Old Town, stopping off in laidback squares for some liquid refreshment and soaking up the vibe at a Spanish (or more precisely ‘Catalan’) pace.
If it’s stag activities, adventure and adrenaline you’re after you won’t have to look far for inspiration and fresh ideas. Barcelona is full of specialist tour operators, and you can book top activities like paintballing, go-karting, sea kayaking, steak dinner with stripper or even Ferrari driving no sweat. Or of course take in a football match of either FC Barcelona, or RCD Espanyol (the city’s second team!). Both clubs offer stadium tours, which make a good alternative if you can’t get tickets for a game, or no one is playing during your visit.
New ideas crop up year after year… like inflatable games, sexy beer tasting, boat parties and gin tasting.
On top of the aforementioned distractions, new ideas crop up year after year just to keep groups like you entertained… check out our list of original activities, like inflatable games, sexy beer tasting, boat parties and gin tasting, further down on the page for some inspiration on how to stand out from the crowd.
Come night time and the real fun and parties begin. There’s no better way than kicking off a night in Barcelona with some traditional Spanish or Catalan cuisine, such as tapas – this is the kind of food that will put hairs on your cojones. It’s all meat, bread, and more meat, with barely a vitamin in sight.
After you’ve lined your stomachs then a pub crawl around the cool bars in the Gothic Quarter will get you in the mood, or – if you prefer – simply settle down into one of Barcelona’s many Irish pubs. Clubbing-wise, the venues around Placa Reial or the Port Olimpic are your best bets, but read our nightlife guide for more.
You may even want to sign up for a VIP nightlife tour, which will take a lot of the hassle out of guestlists, not to mention organising your moronic mates after they’ve overdosed on local-strength mojitos. Keep reading for all of our recommended activities by day and night.

Recommended Day Activities
We’ve already mentioned a few of the typical things you might want to get up to for your stag do, but here are a couple more original ideas specific to Barcelona.
1. Beach Games (€29 p.p.)
For some sun, sea and shenanigans it doesn’t get better than this option, where you are joined by a couple of lovely hostesses for a mix of both sporty and silly games such as beach volleyball, football, rounders, bat’n’ball, tug of war and more. At €29 p.p. it’s a great way to turn a spot of sunbathing into one of the highlights of your trip, plus we’d recommend the €45 p.p. option where you get to try 45 minutes of Stand Up Paddling each on the Mediterranean. This fun water sport has exploded in popularity in the last couple of years and is easy to learn… although not so easy that some of your mates won’t make a prat out of themselves! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or to book. You’ll hear back within 1 working day.
2. Inflatable Games (€39 p.p.)
Exclusive to Barcelona, the Spanish Inflatable Games are a set of 10 challenging TV game show style obstacles and competitions sure to put you and your mates through their paces. Classic games like wipe out, gladiator podium fighting, sumo suit wrestling, swimming pool beam runs and more are all given a uniquely Spanish touch and take place in a spanking new activity centre just outside the city, complete with bar and BBQ facilities. A round of the games on offer takes 3.5 hrs and costs €39 p.p., whilst our partner’s ace team can also provide return transport to the city centre for an extra €18 p.p., or you can grab taxis. Check out this video for a preview, or email us on email@example.com for more details.
3. Paintball (€23 p.p.)
On the same site as the Inflatable Games (above), this paintball experience is just a short ride away from the centre (about 20 minutes), making it the closest outdoor paintball arena to Barcelona. Engage in a series of shoot outs with your mates, in three different battlefields, each different to the other, as you compete to see which team is full of top guns, and which couldn’t hit a barn door at point blank range. The activity lasts for 2 hours, and is great value at €23 a head, with safety gear, overalls and 100 bullets all included. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info. Special Combo Offer: if you want to do both Inflatable Games and Paintball we’ve negotiated a discount price of €57 for you! Just let us know when you get in touch. We can also arrange transfers to and from the site, to make your life easy.
4. Beer Tasting with Sexy Hostess! (€30 p.p.)
Beer and babes!? We’re really spoiling you with this one! Not only do you get to taste 7 delicious local beers (by the way Catalonia is one of the world’s leading artisan beer producers these days), but you get them served up by a sexy hostess wearing a classic dirndl (yeah you know the one, that German beerhall outfit you’ve always fantasised about!). In fact, your hostess is much more than a pretty face, she is a beer connoisseur who will lead you through the tastings with aplomb. If you’re looking for a crowd-pleasing activity that every stag party will enjoy, you just found it. The tasting last 2 hours, costs €30 p.p., with start times ranging between 11am and 7pm as you desire. Email us on email@example.com to reserve.
5. BBQ Boat Party (€55 p.p.)
Take advantage of the Mediterranean sea by setting sail on this BBQ boat party, which includes all the basic ingredients for happiness: grilled meat, beer and girls in bikinis. There’s even a swim stop, where you can practice your
bellyflops dives off starboard, before live music and DJs get the hips shaking as you cruise back to port. The party sets sails every Saturday afternoon between May to September / October. Prices are €55 per person, and for groups of 10 or more we can get the stag himself a free ticket (exclusive offer for Barcelona Life readers!). These parties sell out throughout summer, so get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll help get you on board.
6. Bubble Football (€25 p.p.)
If you’ve never tried this real life arcade game of a sport, then stop wasting time – book it now! You start by strapping a 5ft protective bubble over your head and torso and then basically run full pelt at your mates and knock them over like skittles (depending on who’s got the best momentum!). Somewhere in between there’s a real-sized football that you may or may not want to kick toward’s the opponents’ goal, during this epic game of human dodgems. At just €25 p.p., this is about as much fun per euro as is possible anywhere in the world. Email email@example.com with any questions or to reserve your spots.
7. Kayaking on the Costa Brava (€65 p.p.)
Grab an oar amigo, and prepare to paddle your way in a kayak over the emerald and blue waters of the Mediterranean sea. You’ll navigate the breathtaking coastline of the Costa Brava (translation: wild coast!) with crystal clear waters and beautiful private beaches and coves. In fact you’ll even paddle directly into a cave, where you can go snorkelling. A great hangover-busting mix of adventure, exercise and scenery that you can’t do in many other cities. The transport up the coast (the activity is about an hour’s drive away) leaves at a very reasonable hour of noon, so there’s plenty of time to get up and have breakfast beforehand even if you were out the night before. The day lasts 6 hours in total and costs €65 p.p.. Email firstname.lastname@example.org more.
8. Escape Rooms
The global trend of escape games has reached the Catalan capital and those wanting to pit their wits against a myriad of tricky puzzles and conundrums – all against the clock – will relish the challenge of an escape room. There are some sick storylines in Barcelona, such as infiltrating secret societies and trying to navigate your way out of a stranger’s flat the day after a party (think the movie Hangover) and more cerebral stag groups are likely to enjoy this option. Whilst the average room fits just 6-8 people at a time, check our article by following the link above and you’ll get the lowdown of great places like Lock Clock, Room of Riddles and Maximum Escape.
9. Go Karting (from €35 p.p.)
A classic choice for any self-respecting stag party, we work with one of the best tracks in Spain, slightly outside Barcelona. For €35 per person you get two 10 minutes races around their 500 metre asphalt track in 270 cc karts, as you compete with your mates for a podium finish. If you want to stay at the track longer, we can add on extra races as well as laser tag and bowling, which is also on site. Minimum 8 people to run, with transport to and from the track provided for an extra €25 per person. Email email@example.com for more.
10. Bike Tour (from €20 p.p.)
Walking tours don’t tend to work well for restless groups of lads, but put your mates on a bike and they will be more than happy to pootle around town and take some photos of the sights, whilst getting the lowdown on the city from a savvy local guide. Steel Donkey Bicycle Tours are (in our opinion) the best provider in town, with a focus on the funky and the alternative attractions. They offer private 4-hour tours for just €35 per person, for groups of 8 people or more and will gladly take you to a great bar overlooking the sea for a refreshing jug of sangria or mojito on the way home. You can also upgrade to an electric bike for just €10 more per person. Meanwhile, if you’re on a bit more of a budget, our stag partners offer a more affordable 2 hour tour for just €20 per person. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more.
11. Watch FC Barcelona Play Football
If Barça happen to be playing when your group of guys are in town, it can be great fun to bag yourself some match tickets and watch Messi and chums destroy whichever hapless opposition have the temerity to turn up to Camp Nou that week. You’re all but guaranteed goals, and Camp Nou is one of Europe’s most impressive stadiums. The best place to buy tickets online is Ticket Compare, which compares prices on all other online vendors to find you the cheapest seats. If you don’t have time to check online, or want us to secure the tickets for you, then send an email to email@example.com.
12. Gin Tasting (€40 p.p.)
For something different and original to try on your stag do, treat your taste buds to this premium gin tasting experience, which takes place in the private area of a downtown bar. A local expert will lead you through a tasting of six top of the range gins, paired with tonics and garnishes. The session lasts 2 hours and you can book a start time of anywhere between 11am and 7pm. I’d recommend doing this as a pre-dinner activity, as you’ll be quite tipsy by the end of it. The price is €40 per person. Email to firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve.
Recommended Party / Night Activities
A good old-fashioned pub crawl is never a bad idea, but how about going the extra mile and signing up for one of the city’s most celebrated nights out… you’re not in Barcelona that often, so it pays to hire some local knowledge and get it right. Pasalo bien!
13. Booze Cruise (from €45 p.p.)
Few things are more synonymous with an epic weekend in Barcelona than setting sail on a booze cruise, so if its sun, sausages and sexy women in bikinis you’re after step right up. In fact, there are a total of four different boat parties on offer, starting with the Original Barcelona Boat Party, glamming up a bit with the Champagne Sunset Cruise (a great female to male ratio) and not forgetting two separate BBQ boats… the BBQ party boat we mentioned earlier in this article, and the Chilled Out BBQ Boat (only one alcoholic drink per person on this one, but still plenty of fun). If you are a group of 10 people or more email us on email@example.com and we’ll do our best to get a free ticket for the man of the moment.
14. Steak Dinner with Stripper (€55 p.p.)
Fancy a lovely and delicious piece of rump for supper? And what about ordering a nice steak too? Turn the testosterone up to 11 on your stag do with this red blooded evening activity that is sure to get the mouth watering. The action takes place in a high class restaurant with a private room booked for the “main dish”. The price of €55 p.p. includes steak dinner, first round of drinks, strip show, plus VIP entry into a club later at night. If any of your group is a
hippy vegetarian, there are also great veggie options for the meal. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to reserve your spots.
15. Raunchy Poker Night with Stripper (€65 p.p.)
We’ve pulled out all the aces for this late night poker session that will bring you out in a hot flush. Your cards will be shuffled and dealt by a very ‘talented’ topless croupier, while a second sexy hostess will be serving up some liquid refreshment as the chips fly around the table. This is poker Jim, but not as you know it! If you do lose all your cash in the game, the rather raunchy show that takes place at the end of activity, will be sure to perk you right up. The price is €65 per person, based on a min. of 8 people, and includes slap-up meal and your first beer on the house. The game takes place in a slick private venue. As always, email email@example.com to get booking.
16. Big Night Out / Private Bar Crawl (from €15 p.p.)
Experience the real Barcelona nightlife on a private ‘hipster’ bar crawl run by Tapas & Beers, who will take you to several slick bars and cocktail lounges around the Born area, before getting you into a late night venue. The cost of €29 includes a free mojito, free beer/shot, plus of course your private expert nightlife guide. Otherwise, our stag do partners offer their own ‘Big Night Out’, where your guide gets you into some of the famous beach clubs on the Port Olimpic for just €15 per person (based on a min. of 8 people). Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
This whirlwind tour of the city’s best nightlife venues is popular with señoritas, who put on their best frocks for the occasion, making this a great option for stag parties keen to mingle with the fairer sex. You’ll travel by coach around the city, for a glass of Cava on the mountains overlooking the whole of Barcelona, to dancing by the sea at the famous Opium beach club. As best man, you’ll appreciate the fact that the itinerary is a) great and b) already decided, so no annoying arguments… just drinking time! The cost is €44.95 per person, and that includes transport, several complimentary drinks and VIP club entry. Email us on email@example.com with your dates and group size and you’ll hear back within 24 hours with full details.
18. Limousine Tour… with Stripper (from €65 p.p)
For those that want to enjoy in-house camaraderie, it doesn’t get more private than a magnum of champagne inside a stretched limo… especially when one of Barcelona’s best-looking citizens is treating you to a close up view of something way more interesting than La Sagrada Familia. Once the show is over, your chauffeur will drop you at your club of choice, with a VIP card that ensures no-hassles free entry. The limo costs €360 (max. 8 people) or €540 (max. 12 people) and the clothes-shy entertainer is another €165. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to make a reservation.
19. VIP Cards (from €27 p.p.)
If you want independence at night, together with a guarantee of getting into Barcelona’s best clubs, then this VIP Nightlife Card is just what the doctor ordered. No fewer than 14 of the city’s hottest nightspots accept this golden ticket to nightlife glory, including Opium, Pacha, Catwalk, La Terrrazza and many more. The cards are available for different durations, with a 1 night card at just €27. More info here, or email us a on email@example.com to reserve.
20. VIP Tables (from €75 p.p.)
One sure way to get into the club is to lay down the dinero for a VIP table with bottle service. You need to buy a bottle per four persons, and they are €300-500 each. Of course the real value is getting into the VIP zones where the super-cute hotties like to mingle with big spenders such as yourselves. Get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be able to sort out VIP tables at the likes of Pacha, Shoko, Catwalk and Opium.
