Not enough Barcelona visitors take advantage of the chance to set sail on the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean sea, but with the Sailing Port Tour you've really got no excuses. This affordable and fun activity departs several times a day from Port Olimpic (the modern marina by the two towers) and cruises along the city's coastline for two and half hours, before bringing you ashore at the historic Port Vell, just near the bottom of Las Ramblas. En route you will get the chance to jump off the boat and take a dip in the sea, and you will also have iPads giving you an interactive tour of all the famous buildings you will see from your vantage point on the water. And yes, if you ask nicely, the captain will even let you steer the ship for a bit! The boats in question are beautiful wind-powered sailing vessels of 10-15 meters long, with room for about ten people and the cost of the tour is just 45. Due to increased demand you need to book at least 24 hours in advance and you can do so by emailing us at info@barcelona-life.com and we will notify the boat owners straight away to reserve you a spot. Fancy having the boat just to yourselves? You can rent a private departure for a total price of 250. It could even work out cheaper if you are a large group!
