Sala Montjuic Film Festival

Has it really been 20 years that this wonderful fiesta of film has lighted up the lives of Barcelona residents? The formula is simple and sumptuous. You bring a picnic and a chilled bottle of Cava, the festival organisers throw on a concert, followed by a recent or cult film projected in front of the venerable fortress walls of Montjuic Castle.
Screenings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening from late June to early August.
Films are screened in the original language, with Spanish subtitles, so if you’re a monolinguist be sure to choose wisely.
