Picasso Tour

The world's most famous artist exposed

Born in Malaga in 1881, Picasso moved to Barcelona when he was 14-yrs-old and spent ten years on and off in the Catalan capital.

The city, a hive of artistic, commercial and political activity as it raced towards the 20th Century, was to have an enormous influence on young Pablo. Picasso gave up his traditional academic studies and fell in with an avant garde set of Catalan painters and poets who idealised the likes of Cezanne, Gaughin and Matisse.

This private tour, with an English-speaking guide, will help you uncover the Barcelona of Picasso – his homes, studios, hang outs, the sights that inspired his paintings and even the walks he would take with his Russian lover.

Naturally, included in the price of the tour, is free entry and guided visit to the Picasso Museum, and a visit to the legendary Els Quatre Gats cafe, where Picasso would drink and debate with his fellow Barcelona-based Bohemians.
