Refined restaurant on the beach
Barcelona’s most famous nightclub is also one of the city’s hottest spots to hang out by day, thanks to its gorgeous terrace which overlooks Barceloneta beach. Here on their wooden veranda, under the shade of sleek black umbrellas, you can enjoy their excellent Mediterranean cuisine along with a sea breeze and views of the locals sunbathing and playing volleyball.
On the menu you’ll find delicious Spanish tapas like Galician-style octopus, clams in white sauce and acorn-fed Iberian ham, along with classic rice dishes – including a sterling seafood paella. There are also a number of well-executed meat and fish mains, and several excellent salad options, if you’re in the mood for a light bite.
During the day people come to soak up in the famous Barcelona beach atmosphere in a refined setting, whilst at night Opium is the perfect stop for a special dinner before the city’s party crowd arrives to dance the night away. The Port Olimpic is the centre of the action, especially during summer, and Opium is the centre of the Port Olimpic.
