Gourmet Tapas by Sensi
Creative tapas in charismatic setting
If you ever find yourself wondering down the charming Carrer Milans in the Gothic Quarter, chances are you’ll cast an envious glance at the contented faces of the winers and diners enjoying themselves in the charismatic restaurant that is Gourmet Tapas, by Sensi.
The earthy tones of the bare-brick walls and wooden floors evoke a warm and homely vibe, that invite you in, while the colourful murals depicting Barcelona’s seafront, by Belgian artist Aldo Gigli, create a fun and casual atmosphere.
The third venture by the acclaimed Sensi group, the culinary concept of Gourmet Tapas is to elevate typical Spanish dishes by embracing international influences from France, Italy and Latin American. The result is a tapas menu that includes: grilled scallops with crispy leaks in “bagna cauda” sauce and black trumpet mushroom; boneless leg of lamb cooked in its own juice with truffled cauliflower puree; and warm salad with caviar lentils, quinoa, seasonal vegetables, curry cream and dried fruits.
The reassuringly small menu contains plenty of variety to cater to all tastes, with seafood, meat and vegetarian options – and even paella in tapas form, for those that can’t leave Spain without a taste of its signature dish. Everything is to share.
Gourmet Tapas is open every day from 18:30 to midnight, every night of the week.
