Flaherty’s Irish Bar

Flaherty’s has a fair claim to serve the best pub grub in Barcelona, and if you’re hankering for a taste of home then you need look no further than this popular Irish bar just off La Rambla.

The burgers are particularly scrumptious, made with prime beef, and grilled on their barbecue to your preference. Varieties include classic, ‘Smokey Joe’, ‘Rugger’ (with Irish crispy bacon) and the Zinger chicken burger, while there’s also a vegetarian spicy bean and vegan burger. During the week you can get a burger, starter and drink for just €12.50 before 5pm.

Other grilled dishes include rack of pork ribs, sirloin steak and cajun chicken, and don’t worry if you’re hankering for a classic pub dish: bangers and mash, fish and chips, and steak, mushroom and Guinness pie can all be found on the menu, along with shared dishes, like nachos, chicken wings and battered onion rings.

One big draw for those who may have overindulged the night before are Flaherty’s all-day traditional Irish breakfasts, which are served up with bacon, sausages, baked beans, fried egg, slow-roasted tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, hash browns and toast. This, and many other breakfast options are available right the way through til 5pm!
