Or perhaps head out to the beautiful vineyards of the Penedes region for a spot of wine-tasting (we’ll let you negotiate with your partner which one of you is the designated driver!)?

For something truly bonkers how about getting some mates together for a road trip to Bunol in August for La Tomatina Festival… or even taking a car out to Pamplona for a week of mayhem at the legendary Running of the Bulls fiesta!

Meanwhile avid winter sportsmen and women are might fancy driving out to the Pyrenees for great skiing and snowboarding facilities.

Finally everyone knows a car is the beach bum’s best friend… simply load the trunk with cervezas, jamon sandwiches and a cheap volleyball set (available at Decathlon!) and you’re good to go!
