Formatgeria La Seu

Taking its name from Barcelona's Cathedral, Formatgeria La Seu is Spain's only specialist cheese store although, oddly enough, it is run by a Scotswoman, Katherine McLaughlin. Senora McLaughlin has travelled the length and breadth of the country visiting Spanish farm houses and working hands on with cheese production, so she knows a decent slice of fermented milk when she tastes one. In her boutique you'll find no more than 25 carefully selected products kept at optimal temperatures in her state-of-the-art bodega. Not only a fantastic welcome,even better cheese. Kathrine is a knowledgeable & graceful host. Her tasting sessions are well worth the price so keep some space in your suitcase to take some amazing cheeses home . worth more than a 10 point rating
