Paella Showroom website

we're on

It takes a lot of great ingredients to make a classic Spanish paella, and this hip little space has nearly as many components as the dish it's named after. An art gallery, fashion boutique, bookshop and vintage clothes store in one, the Paella Showroom is a perfect haven for cool hunters. In one corner outfits by Madrid-based designer Felipe Albernaz and Catalan label Juanma by El CuCo vie for your attention, in another vintage pieces sourced by local gurus Layelfish, Lab Couture and others, tempt browsers to dip into their pockets. Vintage sunglasses and jewellery, designer lampshades (by Unboxing Juliana), bags and even handmade baby bibs are also on display. A book corner showcases the best of Barcelona's art and architecture and you can even purchase original cafe/restaurant notebooks, used by waitresses to jot down orders, from the city's Modernista era. And of course, everything you see on Paella Showroom's exhibition wall is also for sale... if someone else hasn't nabbed it first. Open Mon to Sat, 10:30am to 8:30pm.

This is one of my favourite shops in Barcelona. Everything they have it is made by local artists. The owners are extremely friendly and they always show you the new collections and the phtograph exhibitions. It is the perfect place to buy vintage clothes, and it also comes handy when I have to buy a present to a friend. Every time I go they have new things, so I always love to pop in to see what's new! If you come to Barcelona and want to buy a different, authentic and unique souvenir, this is the place!
