Looking for superb deals on great brands? A short trip out of town might be in order. La Roca Village, located about 40km north of Barcelona, is a retail outlet heaven where you can find famous and high-end brands at discounted prices. This purpose-built village is a world away from your typical shopping centre, and you can enjoy a day of shopping in the idyllic surrounds of traditional Catalan architecture, replete with fountains, terraces and flower-laden balconies. La Roca Village opens until 10pm every night from Monday to Saturdays during the summer period with their Long Summer Days. The Village can be reached by their shopping express bus leaving from the city centre- Carrer Casp 34- five times a day. And for this summer, La Roca Village channels Barcelona's remarkable gastronomy with Michelin-starred Catalan cooking, as well as fashionably chic cocktails by internationally renown mixologist Javier de las Muelas, served on a cool summer terrace. Don't miss it.

La Roca Village

Pretty tacky fake village miles outside the centre. Some good deals I suppose but not worth when the time and cost to get there IMHO. Full of plastic Russian wives loading up on labels

There are a lot of shops in Barcelona centre but this village is very pleasant to spend an afternoon in (better than being cooped up in a shopping mall) and some of the bargains we found were fantastic. I wish i wasn't travelling with hand luggage only Or I would have bought more. The bus service was pretty painless, but costs around 10-15 euros return if I remember correclty.

Very nice place to spend a day's shopping on a typically sunny Spanish afternoon! I've been twice and picked up some great bargains both times... esp. at the Puma store as I am a bit of Puma junkie. The bus transfer is very comfortable and easy and costs 12 euros return from BCN.
