Vesping website

Barcelona is one of the most glamorous and cosmopolitan travel destinations in the world so why not discover it in a vehicle that shares many of the city's characteristics - the Vespa? Hip and good looking, but not showy, these sexy scooters may not have the horsepower of a Harley Davidson, but they are sleek and practical, and make getting around town a sheer joy. Suddenly all of the best attractions are easily accesible and you can effortlessly join the dots between the likes of the Olympic Stadium, Camp Nou, Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia, which would take forever by any means of non-motorised transport (and let's be clear, you're way too cool to step on the Barcelona tourist bus!). Available for hire are both 50 and 125cc bikes, but Vesping does much more than simply rent you a set of wheels. Included in the rental is a self-guided GPS city tour and you can choose between three fantastic routes (Olympic, Gaudi or Beach Tour). Alternatively opt for the personal touch and select a guided tour with one of Vesping's expert team, who will show you all the highlights of the Catalan capital, or take you on a day trip to Sitges or Montserrat if you prefer. For prices, and even more options, check their website. Drivers need to be min. 21 years old and have a valid international driving license.

We were sold on the idea immediately. Awesome fun and what a great way to see a new city. The traffic is barcelona is really relaxed compared to most big cities and people are used to driving alongside motorbikes so as long as you are careful it's very safe
