A huge concrete leisure complex at the Northern edge of the city, Parc del Forum was created in 2004 to celebrate the first ever Universal Forum of Cultures, a kind of cultural Olympics conceived in Barcelona by the then mayor. Hardly the city's most charming attraction, nonetheless it's worth paying it a visit to check out the 'floating blue cheesecake' Forum Building designed by Herzog and De Meuron, the impressive solar-panelled Esplanade or possibly to take advantage of the park's safe bathing zone by the sea. Most days you won't find more than a handful of skateboarders or idle strollers in the district, however the Parc del Forum does come into its own during the Primavera Sound Music Festival, when its various zones seem almost purpose built for hosting the event's different concert stages.
Epic venue i love coming here each year for Primavera sound

One of Barcelona's most undervalued treasures! Hardly ever a soul there... but well worth checking out for the architecture and photo opportunities.
