Barcelona Cooking Class

Learn the art of Spanish cooking

Serious about learning how to cook Spanish and Catalan cuisine? Then this is the experience for you. Keep reading for a full tour description, class availability, sample menu, photo gallery and how to reserve your space.

Tour Description

You will start the day by taking a tour of Barcelona’s world-famous La Boqueria food market, where your local chef and guide for the day will shop for the unique ingredients that will later go into your cooking, and explain some of the other delicacies of the market. After selecting some of Spain’s finest produce you will head back to the nearby kitchens, where the gourmet lessons begin.

Here, in one of two modern, open-plan kitchens, your cooking instructor will teach you to how to cook a 4-course Spanish meal, consisting of two starters, dessert and a main course of Spain’s iconic rice dish: the paella. (Note: on Wednesday mornings and Saturday evenings, you will learn to prepare some more modern Catalan tapas instead!).

You’ll get to savour several glasses of premium Spanish wines (from Rioja and Rias Baixas) as you cook, and of course you’ll get to dine on your own menu with your fellow classmates, once the hard work has been done.

A fantastic experience that has won many a rave review, you can opt for a morning class, which starts at 10am and costs 83 euros, or an evening class, which starts at 6pm and costs 70 euros, but doesn’t include the market tour. After the class is over, you’ll be emailed the recipes you cook so you can continue to cook them privately in your own home!
