Camp Nou (often, erroneously, called the Nou Camp) is Barcelona's UEFA five-star rated stadium and playing field for the mighty Barcelona Football Club. The Catalan wizards are the best reason to pay the 'New Field' a visit although if you can't get a ticket to see the boys in action then you might be able to grab a seat for a big name concert - Michael Jackson and U2 are amongst the stars to rock the venue. Seating capacity is just under 99,000 whilst Sir Norman Foster is working on a new Nou Camp (so to speak) with room for an extra 10,000 bums. Getting to the Camp Nou stadium is easy - take the L3 green metro line in the direction of Zona Universitaria and get off at Maria Cristina, where you'll be able to follow the crowds. Click 'show on a map' on the right if you want to check the stadium's exact location. |
