Primavera Sound Line Up 2011

The Primavera Sound Festival returns in 2011 for another edition of alternative music from the genres of indie, punk, rock and post-rock, mixed up with just a little dance and dub-step. Three days of musical mayhem at Parc del Forum will be sandwiched by a day of concerts either side, in the picturesque environs of Poble Espanyol - to make a five day festival (25th to 29th of May).

So the all important question: what's the line up? Well 2011 looks set to be another vintage year with Caribou, Interpol, Belle & Sebastian, Fleet Foxes, Mogwai, The Flaming Lips, Of Montreal and The National all set to rock the various Primavera stages, amongst many others. The super-headliners (if we can dub them that) are Pulp, PJ Harvey and Echo & The Bunnymen.

It's not all tight trousers and eyeliner however as some credible dance acts will ensure the festival keeps swinging long into every night - Big Boi, Caspa, Lindstrom and Simian Mobile Disco will get the feet stomping. Meanwhile, those hoping for a taste of local music can check out The Birkins, Kokoshca and the superb El Guincho (whose video for Bombay is a supremely surreal and sexy classic!).

Great. Also playing are the Fiery Furnaces and The Car Is On Fire... two more great bands!
