Cal Pep

Considered by many the best restaurant in Barcelona, Cal Pep is a tapas bar that specialises in seafood so fresh you wouldn't be surprised to see it wriggle off your plate. Clams with hot peppers, tuna in sesame sauce and fried crispy prawns are just some of the delicacies that get regulars coming back for more - even if it means queuing for close to an hour just to get a stool by the bar. Once seated waiters, or even the magnanimous Pep himself, are likely to suggest dishes on your behalf, which most consider a great honour. The restraunt had very delicious food. The service was polite, but I kept finding raw fish in my sushi! :(

We had to wait in line to get a table but it was worth it for the sublime food... the best we ate in Barcelona
