It’s not often you can saunter into a snack bar and order marijuana-flavoured ice cream, and for that reason alone we urge all adventurous travellers to pop their head into Belgious during their Barcelona sojourns. In fact that hempy variety of helado is just one of 200 “high definition” flavours on offer, with the likes of mango (made from fresh fruit from Goa), pistachio (with nuts from Iran), raspberry and vinegar (try it!) and black Aragonese olive variety all set to tease – and sometimes downright confuse – your tastebuds.

Nor does the fun does stop at ice cream: Belgious has made a name for itself for its Belgian waffles, French crêpes à la Bretagne and delicious milk shakes. Meanwhile if you’ve never tasted fresh acai juice from Brazil (full of anti-oxidants) now is your chance. Order it ‘na tigela’ with banana, orange and honey for that true Copacabana vibe.
