Stoke Restaurant

|
Stoke's menu may be short, but it is surely one of the most diverse in Barcelona with a range of mouthwatering dishes that will cure homesickness, no matter what corner of the world you come from. From classic burger and fries fare to Brazilian fish chowder, through to Madras curry and Senegalese stew, there is literally a dish from every continent. Aimed fairly and squarely at travellers the meals are priced for the poorest of penny-pinchers but there's no gripes about the quality of the food - ingredients are sourced fresh and daily from La Boqueria market across the road (which is why locals are getting in on the act too!). Being a bar first and foremost Stoke's atmosphere is relaxed and informal, but if you want to go a bit more upmarket then they can sit you upstairs on their smartly-decorated first floor where decades-old suitcases cling to the wall and centuries-old wooden beams keep the ceiling from caving in. Linger between 8 and 10pm to take advantage of happy hour drinks. |
