Inopia

The venture of one Albert Adria - brother of the world famous Ferran Adria of El Bulli restaurant - you would be forgiven for expecting Bar Inopia to be some lavish affair with an improbable mission statement to change gastronomy as we know it. However with its solitary table (grab a stool!), TV screens (for beloved Barca FC matches), and modern functional decor Inopia is almost indistinguishable from the humble neighbourhood bars found everywhere in Barcelona. Almost that is. Because there's always the small matter of the food. Adria junior has gastro-greatness in his genes and despite the relatively unfussy environs guests of Inopia will be able to feast on delicious tapas such as smoked anchovies, bruschettas with chorizo spread, and sliced confited tuna belly for as little as 3 euros a 'racion'. Seeing as your chances of getting a table at El Bulli are slimmer than winning the lottery the morning after you seduced Penelope Cruz, Inopia is a delightfully accessible second-best.
