Looking for a late night option in El Borne district? You're hardly spoiled for choice, although at least the one option you do have is a good one. Fancy it ain't but Magic Club is a solid bet for a great time in a spit-and-sawdust and cheesy indie rock tunes kinda way. The crowd consists mainly of drunkards in 90s rock band T-shirts, failed PHD students and various other folk who probably should have grown up by now, and - as with most Barcelona clubs - the male/female ratio is about 80/20, but everyone's having a good time at least. Warning: despite, or perhaps because of, the fact it's not at all exclusive, there are huge queues on Friday and Saturday night. So don't wait until the bar you're in kicks you out to sidle over...
Been twice recently... once completely packed (term time weekend), once completely dead (Thurs during summer time), so just bear in mind that this is a student club... Otherwise it's a decent place, bit like Sidecar on Plaza Real. Like it says in the review there are four or more guys to every girl... so bring your own!
