Benicassim Festival (FIB Heineken)
Benicassim is a small coastal town in Spain, in between Barcelona and Valencia, and since 1995 the home of the Festival Internacional de Benicāssim (FIB). A vast music event headlined by the best bands in the world, think of Beniccasim as like Glastonbury but without the mud, extortionate ticket prices and early gigs... no wonder the festival has proved so popular, not just in Spain, but with people all over the world.
The Benicassim Festival (also known as FIB Heineken) takes place over four days in July each year and most festival-goers will spend their nights camping out under the stars at the festival campsite which is open for several days either side of the main event. In addition to the music programme which tends to be indie, Brit-pop, alternative rock and electronica artists, the festival also incorporates an artistic of short films, theatre, fashion and art. And then of course there's always the beach, big blue skies and Mediterranean sea to enjoy during the day as the concerts don't tend to start until the early evening - and go right on through the night!

Over the years some amazing acts have rocked the Benicassim Festival, such as Depeche Mode, Oasis, the Strokes, Scissor Sisters, Justice, Muse, Artic Monkeys, Human League, Franz Ferdinand... you get the picture. It's a big festival with a big pull and amazing location. Many fans of Benicassim are drawn back year after year!
